South Coast MMA 3 Results
Welcome to the South Coast MMA fight night results from Saturday the 25th of September 2010 held at the Wollongong Entertainment Centre. The local athletes who put their body on the line should hold their head up high as the tourist from Tasmania, Victoria & Sydney put on a great show of alibility and style. There was some very good close match up with the typical stand up fighter vs. the ground fighter giving the crowd what they paid for and yelling for more.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the athletes and especially to our interstate teams who did not disappoint and will be returning next April in 2011.

The Sydney lad Rob Boltkos was in for a hard battle. This was one jaw dropping match up, both athletes displayed great resistance as they exchanged blows all hitting their mark, both athletes taking some hard hits to the head and kicks to the body then with 40seconds remaining in the first round Rob was able to take Dan to the ground and start to work on a submission as the 1st round come to an end. Both athletes were given instruction from their coaches to give it their all at any cost, with the 2nd round starting in the same manner as the first, with the crowd on their feet as both athletes were showing signs of fatigue from heavy blows at one point both were punch for punch as Rob started to try and throw Dan to the ground to gain points by trying to choke Dan several times, but Dan was still able to avoid some of Rob’s attacks and continue to exchange blows as the seconds closed for the end of the round both giving it one more burst of attacks. The judges had to make a decision and it was very close with local athlete Rob Josevski winning on decision. It’s no wonder this match up won fight of the night which was sponsored by City Health Foods |

This was the only A class match up of the night local novice athlete Alex Luckman was a man on a mission who came to mix it up with Rod Harris who was coming into this match with a win from round 2 back in April, both wanted a win, with Alex being shorter than Rod he slowly backed Rod into a corner as they both exchanged mild punches as they were both testing each other out waiting for the right moment, with both athletes going to ground and
The main event was set to be a battle of the states NSW vs VIC, our 2nd state of origin match up for the night was set to bring the house down with home favourite fighter Rob Josevski bringing an army of 180 plus locals for vocal back up, Rob is one of Mick Cutajar’s up and coming stars who has been training for 3months 5 days a week and he wasn’t going to take a step backwards.
